
Robyn Cho

Highly praised by many artists and critics for his unique and poetic musicianship, described him as a charismatic and virtuoso clarinetist. Robyn Cho is the first prize winner of The Mooredale Concerto Competition 2007. He has worked with Joaquin Valdepeñas at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and Ted Oien(principal clarinet of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra) at Aspen Music Festival where he collaborated with renowned conductors such as Hans Graf, David Zinman, James Conlon, and George Manahan.
As soloist and chamber musician, Mr. Cho has played with The Royal Conservatory Orchestra and he was invited to perform with Tokai String Quartet for The Mooredale Concerts series. He is a clarinetist of Madama Butterfly Ensemble and the ensemble was invited to perform at Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society. He was a finalist of The International Clarinet Association Young Artist Competition, TD Canada Trust Competition and the Winnipeg Symphony Principal Clarinet Audition. He was also runner-up in The RCO Concerto Competition & Tom Thomas Award.
He has been coached by some of the finest artists such as David Shifrin, Marc Durand, Franklin Cohen, Eli Eban, Burt Hara, Theodore Oien, Dennis Smylie, Yehuda Gilad and Yizhak Schotten. |

Colin Liu is currently a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. At York University in Toronto, he completed a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Sciences, Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy, Advanced Certificate in Coaching (Ice Hockey), in addition to a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. His main teachers of clarinet includes John Bruce Yeh, Gregory Barrett, and Patricia Wait. He has been a participant of the National Orchestral Institute, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, Idyllwild Music Festival, Toronto Summer Music Festival, and Domaine Forget. |
